By then the decisions have already been made. I've seen it from every side: preparing accounts inside a business, auditing them, and advising owners who were growing faster than their finance function.
The pattern is always the same. The books run months behind, VAT and tax deadlines become a scramble, and the owner is running the business on instinct. Fixing that isn't complicated, but it does need someone who takes ownership of it every month.
