By the time the numbers arrive, it's too late to act on them. Problems have been building for months.
Scrambling for receipts, chasing invoices, hoping nothing was missed — every quarter, the same stress.
Revenue is coming in but you're not sure where it's going, or whether you can afford to grow.
You need someone senior looking at the numbers with you, but can't justify the cost of a full-time hire at this stage.
"Most small businesses don't fail because of bad products. They fail because nobody was watching the money."
DM Accounting gives Malta SMEs the financial visibility and compliance infrastructure that used to be the exclusive advantage of larger businesses — without the overhead.

Why DM Accounting
Not a firm. Not a junior assigned to your file. One warranted accountant who knows your business and is accountable to you directly.
CFR rules, Malta tax rates, FSS deadlines, GAPSME requirements — the nuances of running a business in Malta are built into everything we do, not looked up when needed.
Your questions are answered by the person who holds your Warrant — not filtered through a receptionist or reassigned when your accountant moves on.
Upcoming deadlines, tax-saving opportunities, and cash flow risks flagged before they become problems. Not reactive — anticipatory.
Xero and Odoo 19 expertise means your books are automated where they should be, and manually reviewed where it matters. No legacy software, no spreadsheet chaos.
Client feedback
"Finally an accountant who explains things in plain language. I always left meetings with my old firm more confused than when I arrived. Daniel is different — he makes sure you actually understand your own numbers."
"We were drowning in paperwork and had no idea where our cash was going. Within two months of working with DM Accounting we had proper monthly reports and our VAT compliance was completely sorted."

Yes. I handle VAT under Article 10 or Article 11, income tax returns, Class 2 social security and provisional tax for sole traders, tradesmen and freelancers, as well as for limited companies. Read the self-employed compliance guide.
Management accounts are a short monthly report showing what the business earned, what it spent, how much cash it has and who owes it money. Unlike the annual accounts, they are for you, not the authorities. If you are making decisions on last year's numbers, you need them. What a good pack includes.
Yes. With your written authority I request the handover file from your previous accountant and deal with the correspondence. Most changeovers are done within two weeks.
Yes. Catch-up work is charged at €50 an hour, with an estimate agreed after a look at your records. Once you are up to date, a fixed monthly fee covers the routine work.
I do. DM Accounting is run by Daniel Mercieca, a Warranted Accountant, with a deliberately small client list. Your file is not passed to a junior or sent offshore. More about me.
